The L4D Hall of Shame

Randoms say the darndest things.

I'm talking about comments we get when playing as a group in L4D. We know we're working well as a team when we're accused of hacking. Of course, not every comment is going to be as hilarious as a hacking accusation. But exasperated outbursts of "BS" and moans about "lame tactics" are entertaining as well.

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the Left 4 Dead Hall of Shame. Here I aim to collect many snips of comments from our L4D games. I hope those of you that are my teammates will contribute to this Hall of Fame with your own snippets.

When you peruse these comments, I would hope you pause to for a moment to remember all the comments that weren't screen captured because of the hectic nature of the game. They are lost but not forgotten.

Each snip is (usually) totally separate from those above and below it. There's no ongoing continuity here. There's also no context into what was happening at the time of each comment, but imagining that is half the fun.

Please edit your own original post should you return to add more snippets. Feel free to add a separate post informing people of the new additions, but don't be surprised if I later clean up such update posts.

Edited:
I notice that sometimes not all images show. It seems that if you refresh once or twice you'll cache 'em up and they should all become visible.

Updated! The L4D Hall of Shame

Updated with our first L4D2 game!

It was close... randoms with L4D2 versus experience versus us with group cohesion but only a mix of L4D1 versus and L4D2 co-op experience.

The four randoms were happy to play on while they were (about) 60 points ahead. But the moment we took the lead 1300 to 1093, three of them quit!

It would be hypocritical of me to condemn quitters. I can totally understand the desire to quit an unfair game -- either when you are outmatched by the other team, or your own team has fallen apart due to earlier quitters.

It's impossible to know if anyone is rage-quitting, or deciding calmly that it's time to stop playing. Doctors appointment versus "doctor's appointment" (see the Hall of Shame above if you don't get it).

But if this small sample is representative of what awaits us in L4D2... the Hall of Shame had better clear out some more floorspace! Smiley
